She joined WMRCC of Durham Board of Directors in 1999 serving
in different positions such as Treasurer, Vice-chair and Board

Upon her passing away in October 2005, the Board of Directors
of WMRCC of Durham resolved to set up a Memorial Education Funds
to benefit women of colour, immigrant and refugee women who have
received services from the agency in her honour.
Inez Pinder Memorial Dinner was held on May 6th, 2006 and the
premier proceeds from this fund-raising event is to be used to
provide a bursary to a woman, or youth going to a higher institution
in September 2007. This bursary will be given on a yearly basis.
Inez is missed but is remembered and honoured by those who contribute
to the Inez Pinder Memorial Education Funds. Your contribution
towards this Education Funds will make a difference in the lives
of women and youth who will benefit from it.
